While National Employee Appreciation Day is a great time to honor employees, my goal is to make sure they feel appreciated throughout the year. For starters, new employees receive a hand-written letter and “swag bag” during onboarding to welcome them to the team. We also go beyond just one day of appreciation for our employees, dedicating an entire week each year to food, fun activities, and prizes centered on our gratitude for their hard work.
Another initiative that shows you care is to allot a portion of company funds to giving back within the organization. Zander is proud to support employees who are raising money for their children’s schools, activities or projects they are passionate about. Additionally, our peer-nominated Employee of the Month program gives employees yet another outlet to recognize each other’s successes and dedication.
